The Institute’s Nigeria Branch is one of our most active international branches and is made up of academics, hospitality managers and students who regularly contribute to regional activities. It came as no surprise when the Nigeria Branch’s can-do attitude resulted in what appears to be one of the first hospitality-focused documents aimed at helping industry managers and staff prevent the spread of the Ebola virus disease (EVD), formerly known as Ebola haemorrhagic fever.
Hospitality managers and housekeeping staff can use this FREE document, Ebola Guidance for Hotels, to reinforce risk management programmes, and check cleaning and hygiene routines.
The Institute would like to thank the Nigeria Branch for its initiative and generosity in sharing this important document. The World Health Organization (WHO) has deemed the EVD a global health crisis. It is affecting some African countries (Liberia, Sierra Leone and Guinea with a limited number of cases in Nigeria) and has caused in excess of 1,200 deaths.
Please share Ebola Guidance for Hotels with interested colleagues or anyone working in the hospitality industry in the affected region.
